What do you do before the show jumping phase starts at the Longines FEI European Championships? Have a quick glass of champagne of course in the Pol Roger Lodge located just next to the main arena of course ........
Champagne Pol Roger, one of the sponsors of the Championships that provided the winners with some hefty bottles of champagne during the presentation ceremony, erected an impressive safari-type lodge where visitors could sip on wine, champagne or Kilchoman Whisky out of the Highlands weather. The Pol Roger Land Rover Defender, which also put in an appearance at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, also made an appearance; the bespoke version of this iconic four wheel drive vehicle looked at home in both the African-inspired safari tent and the Scottish Highlands
Libby Law organised the ‘super-models’ looking after the guests in the Lodge to pose for us (thank you girls!) and we snapped a couple of unsuspecting visitors too!
