Blyth Tait and Bear Necessity at Pau CCI4*
Equestrian Sports New Zealand has named its High Performance eventing squads in the lead up to the 2016 Olympic year and four time Olympian Blyth Tait is back in the game.
Blyth has been named as part of the High Performance squad with his horses Xanthus III and Bear Necessity that have shown promising results this year including second at Boekelo and third in the CIC3* at Tattersalls for Xanthus III and fifth in the CIC3* at Burgham (where Blyth is to course design this year) and fourth in the CIC3* at Hopetoun for Bear Necessity
Blyth joins another experienced campaigner, Sir Mark Todd who is named with Leonidas II and NZB Campino. Jock Paget with Clifton Lush and Clifton Signature, husband and wife team Tim and Jonelle Price with Wesko, Bango, Ringwood Sky Boy, Classic Moet and Faerie Dianimo, and New Zealand based Clarke Johnstone aboard Balmoral Sensation make up the rest of the current top squad. Any rider wishing to make the New Zealand team for Rio needs to be named on the squad however the list will be revised again in June
