We recently visited Andrew Hoy’s new facilities at Somerby Stables in Leicestershire but sadly we missed out on the official opening night on October 21st
100 guests, owners, business partners and friends joined Andrew and his partner Stefanie Strobl for a glamorous opening event at Somerby Stables in Leicestershire. Amongst many others, International Course Designer Capt. Mark Phillips and American showjumper Lauren Hough, racing personalities John and Clodagh McStay from Ireland, Canadian Dressage High Performance Manager Desi Dillingham MBE as well as Danièle Vogg, Event Director of Gut Weiherhof Horse Trials in Germany and Barbara Keller from Switzerland made the trip to Leicestershire to join the celebrations.
As well as the excellent facilities to be used by Andrew for his own team of horses and visiting riders, Hoy Enterprises Ltd has offered a new home to the local Mount Group RDA who keep five horses at Somerby Stables.
“I have been very lucky in life and I feel it is time to give something back” says Andrew “It gives me great joy to watch the RDA´s training at my yard and it puts things into perspective.”
