Alltech have not only sponsored the Alltech Equine Advantage Eventing Series, which will culminate at Sydney International Horse Trials next year, but also put their support behind the Australian Young Event Horse Championships at Sydney this year.
Christine Bates and JP Ned Kelly - 4 Year Old Event Horse winner
The aim of the class is to give owners and breeders the opportunity to showcase the potential of their four, five and six year old horses which are judged over three phases; flatwork/dressage, jumping and cross country. The three judges, Caroline Lieutenant, Ben Netterfield and Wayne Roycroft were looking for an athletic, elastic moving horse with a promising jumping technique at each level and found it in the three class winners on the Friday. These were JP Ned Kelly ridden by Christine Bates (Alltech 4 Year Old Young Event Horse), Riverside Krissy ridden by Niki Rose (Alltech 5 Year Old Young Event Horse) and Dicavalli Diesel, again ridden by Niki Rose (Alltech 6 Year Old Event Horse)
