The International standard indoor at NEGS
In 2012 the one day event held at the New England Girls School in Armidale once more saw the light of day having not run for several years. This was largely thanks to the then head of all things equestrian at the school – Andrew Haddad. The event was a great success and from there it has begun to grow, now under the leadership of Brett Davey.
“NEGS is a great place to be,” said Brett. “The facilities are amazing. We have not just one but two indoor schools and the cross country course, which provides up to 2* level, has been designed by Wayne Copping. This year we ran up to CNC* level and it proved to be a great success.”
Camping at NEGS
This year’s event ran in March with riders coming from far and wide to enjoy everything that NEGS had to offer. Stuart Tinney was one rider who made the trip to Armidale and riding Warhawk he took home the winners ribbons for the CNC* class. Stuart’s attendance at NEGS gives others a good guide that this is an event well worth going to next year.
For those of you who have never made the trip to the one day event held at the New England Girls School in Armidale take a look at the video below put together by Megan Scrivener, a parent at the school.
