Dressage will be a focus at Blenheim for the amateur riders as well as the top guns in 2015
We recently reported that Australia’s Sarah Nevile-Lavingdale will be heading to the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials as part of their commentary team and she may now need to brush up on her dressage commentary too. British Eventing's feature event of the year will now host a new Amateur Eventer Dressage Championships to be held at Blenheim on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th September 2015.
The Championships are for competitors who have competed at affiliated British Eventing competitions around the country at BE80, BE90 and BE100 level in the current and preceding season (from 1st March – 31st July in 2015).
To qualify, competitors must have achieved a minimum Dressage mark of 70% (or 30 penalties) in the Dressage phase on two occasions at the level of the class they are entering (e.g. two 70%+ in BE80 classes) one of which must have been in a class where the test matched that of the Championship class entered at Blenheim (e.g. a score of 70%+ in BE90 91).
This Championship is aimed at true amateur eventers and as such combinations must not have competed at CIC2* or CCI2* level or above in the current or preceding season.
