Several years ago I was impressed by a young dressage rider in Australia called Tristan Tucker. At the time Tristan was working for Jim and Emmie Schmul in Victoria, riding and training their young dressage horses.
I was taking lessons with Emmie and often rode at the same time at Tristan, who it turned was actually born in England so we had a bit in common. Unfortunately I didn’t share the talent for dressage that Tristan had but I loved his impish sense of humour and his great skill with the young horses. So it didn’t surprise me when, a few years ago, I came across Tristan in a very funny video as his alter ego Brett Kidding
In December Tristan performed at Olympia and this is the uncut version of his performance. It is, of course, very funny, but just take a moment to think about how good you have to be to look that bad and still have a happy horse!
Tristan is now based in The Netherlands and you can find out more about his TRT raining system here - "Every horse can change and every horse can be confident and relaxed"
