The Festival of British Eventing, presented by the British Equestrian Trade Association is held annually at the Gatcombe Park Estate of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal near Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire.
This year the event will take place on 1-3 August 2014 and Libby Law will be bringing us all the action in our daily photo galleries and updates
Three Championships will be held during the three days as well as the Equex China Advanced Section; the British Eventing Open Championships where the highest placed British rider will be awarded the National Champion title, the Smith & Williamson British Intermediate Championship and the Martin Collins British Novice Championship
As well as the eventing action there is plenty of fun for all tastes including Dressage to Music, Shetland Pony Grand National and Scurry Driving, Parade of Royal Agricultural College Beagles and Ye Olde Red Tail Falconry Display.
Many contenders for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will be having a run around Capt. Mark Phillips’ course including several of the Australian squad. The majority of the cross country action takes place in the Park Bowl, a superb setting to enjoy the trials in idyllic surroundings, overlooked by Gatcombe Park house and Capt. Phillips says that the footing on the course this year is better than ever
