Michael Jung doesn’t have much time off in the eventing ‘off-season’ as he is busy show jumping.
Our ‘Man of the Decade’ Michael, who has not only won World, Olympic and European titles in eventing has also represented Germany in pure show jumping, and on Saturday at the Amadeus Horse Indoors Horse Show in Salzburg, he won the main class of the day, the Salzburg CSI 4*
Riding one of his pure show jumping horses, the 13-year-old Westphalian mare Fischerchelsea, Michael was one of 13 combinations out of a class of 65 to jump clear in the first round and go through to the 1.55m jump off. They took the win, the Championship title and their share of the €45,000 euro prizemoney with the fastest time and then followed that up with sixth place in the 1.60m CSI4* Grand Prix on Sunday
