Over the sea to Ireland

Tim and GV Billy Elliott at Blenheim

Australian riders Tim Boland and Kevin McNab are heading across the sea to Ireland this weekend to compete at Ballindenisk

Ballindenisk, the home of the Fell family and an equestrian competition venue in Watergrasshill Co. Cork, Ireland which specialises in eventing, this weekend hosts the Johnson and Perrott Land Rover International Horse Trials from 17th – 21st September

The event runs CCI classes at 1, 2* and 3*level plus a CCIJ1* and CCI1* for Ponies, a CIC2* and 3* and the Michael Leonard Memorial 5 & 6yo Championship

Tim and Kevin are both entered in various classes with Kevin riding Dustman and Tim riding GV Billy Elliott in the CCI3*. Following his disappointment at Blenheim in GV Billy Elliott’s dressage test, Tim told us he would re-route to Ballindenisk and he also has Napoleon VIII in the CCI2*and Wild Duchess in the CCI1* while Kevin is also competing Lucinda Feredericks’ Shelter Cove in the CCI2*and Fernhill Quality Street in the CIC3*

Kevin’s partner Emma Dougall, who also withdrew her horse Belcam Bear after the dressage at Blenheim won’t be competing here but is aiming her talented 10 year old for Boekelo in October
