One of our favourite YouTube videoers/editors is the delightfully named Harveywetdog (aka David) and he has just won this year's British Eventing Cinema award
The aim of the competition is to capture "The Spirit of Eventing" in a video which is 1 to 5 minutes in length and David's videos always do this perfectly.
Of his win David says “There are two principle motivations behind my videos; firstly I simply want to attract viewers to the Harveywetdog channel but secondly, and more artistically, I’m looking for that perfect combination of light, horse, rider, action and background sound that gives you goose bumps when you watch it. I came close with “Andrew Nicholson and Avebury flowing across the ground here at Badminton” in 2013 but I still think I can do better"
We even got a mention and a thank you for helping to make "Harveywetdog an international phenomenon". And why is the YouTube channel known as Harveywetdog? Harvey was David and his wife Judith's much loved German Wirehaired Pointer and it was he who put the Harvey in Harveywetdog; sadly Harvey died this year and we have included a touching little tribute that David made to him too
