We recently completed our Countdown of the Most Viewed Cross Country Videos of 2021 based on stats from our website and Facebook page
The main difference ibetween the two is that we choose which cross country videos are shown on our Facebook page (and are usually winners of events) whereas the videos on our website are those purchased by riders.
The Number One video on Facebook was, appropriately enough, the Number One British rider in 2021, Piggy March. But there was another video on Facebook that even outstripped Piggy, and by quite a long way!
The video snippet that caught everyone’s attention was short – just 38 seconds long – and certainly sweet.
In the lead up to Osberton International in October 2021 we posted the video below of Tarka Abraham gently piloting the young mare Jarisa through the water at the 4-Year-Old British Championships at Osberton in 2018 and it quickly became our most watched video on Facebook in 2021, garnering over 250,000 views and attracting 2,000 (very positive) engagements
Tarka and Jarisa finished 16th at Osberton that year but patience is a virtue and Tarka’s horsemanship has paid off over time. They started competing at CCI2* level in 2021 and almost three years after Osberton 2018, they won the CCI2*-S at Somerford Park. Well done, Tarka and Jarisa!
