The Wallaby Hill Equestrian Extravaganza is one of the best ways to ease yourself slowly and elegantly back into the season
There is something for everyone on Sunday February 7th with a range of classes for the competitors including straight show-jumping, Eventers vs Show-Jumpers and the NSW Exhibition Eventing Qualifier.
There’s also the new Equestrian Team Triathlon, comprising of a Medium dressage test, an abbreviated 1* cross-country course and a show-jumping round of 1.25m. This class is perfect for a group of riders to get together and show off their strengths in any of the disciplines – you can enter a team of riders, (dressage/eventer/show-jumper) or a team of horses with the same rider or any combination you can think of. Not surprisingly, the Dream Team of Brett Parbery, Shane Rose and Dave Cameron won this a couple of years ago!
For those feeling less energetic the best way to spend the day is in the VIP marquee that winds its way around the side of the grass show jumping arena. Fancy some Seared Fennel Spiced Lamb Loin or some Charcoal Grilled Braised Octopus to snack on as you sip wine under the shady canopies? The VIP area is the perfect spot to watch the action in comfort
We’ll be bringing you our report from the day’s activities soon after but if you’re in the area, why not pop in and check it out?
