It almost seems like a normal weekend with events taking place at various points around the world!

 

Kelsall Hill (3), GBR

Kelsall Hill in Cheshire wrapped up three days of competition that saw Oliver Townend and Izzy Taylor take wins in the big classes on Friday, the BE80(T) Regional final on Saturday and BE100 and BE90 competitors enjoying great going on the Captain Mark Phillips designed courses on Sunday

Keysoe International, GBR

Another good weekend for Piggy March, who won not only the CCI2*-S Section A at Keysoe International on board I Diablo Joe but also the CCI3*-S on Cooley Lancer with both horses winning on their dressage scores. Piggy also took fourth place on Sportsfield Top Notch

Charlotte Andrews riding Milhollow Classic spoiled Piggy’s winning run, taking the CCI2*-S Section B, with Gubby Leech in second place on James Bond Van’t Akkerhof and Piggy having to settle for third place on Cooley Goodwood

Australia’s Andrew Hoy was in the ribbons of the CCI3*-S on Vassilly De Lassos, taking sixth place on their dressage score of 32.5

It was the first International eventing competition for Keysoe, which has run many British Eventing fixtures over the years and also hosts International dressage and show jumping

 

Ballindenisk, IRE

Sam Watson and Imperial Sky have won the CCI 4*-L at Ballindenisk International Horse Trials in Ireland on a score of 30.5, just ahead of runner-up Sarah Ennis with Horseware Woodcourt Garrison (ISH) on 32.1 and Camilla Speirs in third with Lukas on 34.0.

Sarah also won the CCI 4*-S on board Horseware Stellor Rebound (ISH) with a score of 28.6 while Cathal Daniels and LEB Lias Jewel, who had led the CCI4*-L after dressage and cross country but finished seventh after dropping two rails in the show jumping, finished second in the short format (35.6) and Louise Bloomer and Hollybrook High in the Sky took third (37.0).

Britain’s Daniel Alderson and Ballyvillane OBOS came out on top in the CCI 3*-L; the CCI 3*-S was won by  Brian Morrison with Global DHI, Ian Cassells took the CCI 2*-L on Master Point and the CCI 2*-S was won by Cathal Daniels with LEB Empress.

Baborówko, POL

Japan’s Yoshiaki Oiwa had another successful weekend in Europe at the LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show in Poland where riders from several countries competed not only in international classes, but also in the Polish Championships for seniors and young riders. 

Yoshi won the CCI4*-S, leading after the dressage on Calle 44, dropping to second place behind Poland’s Paweł Spisak after the cross-country phase but then jumping clear for the overall win. Pawel took second place with one pole down in the jumping on board Banderas, and Austria’s Harald Ambros riding Lexicon finished third. 

Pawel did however take the Polish National Championship for Seniors, run as a part of this class, giving him the top prize for the eighth time in his career; Mateusz Kiempa took the silver, and Małgorzata Korycka went home with the bronze. 

Yoshi also won the CCI3*-S class on The Duke Of Cavan while Poland’s Kamil Rajnert won the CCI2*-S riding Emilia of Chin

 

 

Stable View Oktoberfest 2020 - Aiken, South Carolina, USA

Liz Halliday-Sharp held on to her overnight lead at Stable View Oktoberfest and added 4.8 time faults on cross country to her double clear show jumping round to win the CCI4*-S on board Fernhill By Night. This is Liz’s third 4* win in a few weeks, finishing ahead of Doug Payne in second and third places rising Vandiver and Quantum Leap, Australia’s Clayton Fredericks in fourth place riding FE Always In Time

CCI3*-S overnight leader Alexander O'Neal withdrew before the start of cross country, moving the winning pair Boyd Martin and Fernhill Prezley into the top position and Boyd also finished in fourth place with Penhill Celtic.

Liz Halliday-Sharp also won the CCI2*-S riding Maryville Sir Henry.
