The winner, Lyndal Marr on her lovely horse, Zazu over the water jump
Lyndal Marr from the Sutherland Shire was the lucky winner of Bayer’s competition “Win a day with Shane Rose”. This competition was open to eligible purchases of any of Bayer’s horse wormers, Imax Gold and Equitak Excel during the end of last year. After seeing Shane Rose, the Silver Olympic medallist on the Bayer stand at Equitana Sydney in November, Lyndal made sure to purchase an Equitak Excel from her local store to enter the competition. Bayer received countless entries in the competition but Lyndal was the lucky winner with her creative entry and after receiving the winning phone call, Lyndal was over the moon to hear the news saying “I didn’t believe I had actually won!”
The day was spent at Silver Hills, an equestrian property at Oakdale south west of Sydney. The weather was lovely and the grounds offered great facilities for the clinic. Lyndal with her horse Zazu, shared the day with five other friends, all of which keep their horses together at Kurnell Boarding Stables and Riding School. The group of eventers were eager and determined to develop their skills of riding cross country fences and learn all that they could from one of Australia’s leading event riders. With some fences providing more challenges than others, it was a great opportunity for the riders to train their horses under the tuition of Shane. The group also took the occasion to capture some photos with the Olympian at the end of the day. Lyndal couldn’t have been happier with the lesson “We are all so appreciative of Shane’s time and thankful to Bayer for offering such a great prize”.
