Last Friday 8 June, Equestrian Australia nominated the following horse and rider combinations to the Australian Olympic Committee for selection to the 2012 Australian Olympic Team.
The horse and rider combinations are:
Julia Hargreaves and Vedor
James Paterson-Robinson and Lanosso
Matt Williams and Watch Me VD Mangelaar
Australia will field a four member Jumping team and these three horse and rider combinations have been nominated to join Edwina Tops-Alexander who was selected to the team through early nomination.
Equestrian Australia’s nomination policy gives athletes 48 hours to lodge an appeal against the nominated team.
Equestrian Australia can confirm that during this period a rider lodged an appeal which will be heard by an independent tribunal in due course.
During this time Equestrian Australia and the Australian Olympic Committee are unable to make further comment.
The Australian Olympic Committee will announce the Jumping team’s final selection.
