Australia's Andrew Hoy and Bloom Des Hauts Crets will be one of the combinations contesting the Nations Cup/Test Event in Pratoni
What a month May is! Hot on the heels of Badminton Horse Trials in England and Ariat Sydney International 3 Day Event in Australia, the following week sees the Test Event for the FEI World Championships 2022 for Eventing and Driving
Taking place at Pratoni del Vivaro Sporting Equestrian Centre at Rocco di Papa, the venue for the two World Championship events to be held from September 15th - 25th, the Eventing Test Event will be held from May 12th – 15th
This splendid location at Pratoni on the Albani Hills will also be hosting the first leg of the FEI Nations Cup during that weekend, which has attracted a significant number of competitors.
Riders from 13 nations will be riding in a CCIO4*-S; the National Federations that have confirmed they will have teams competing at Pratoni are: Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Great Britain, Germany, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and, of course, Italy.
Italian riders will be even more motivated as this event also counts for titles and medals for the 2022 National Italian Championship.
Admission for spectators will be free of charge for the Test Event and Nations Cup. And there are not only the sporting events to be enjoyed on these dates — in springtime these beautiful facilities in the heart of the Castellli Romani Park are at their best in terms of nature and the landscape.
The Organising Committee has also planned novelties for food lovers: 'Il Villaggio del Gusto' — The Village of Taste — is an area in which visitors will become immersed in the food and wine of the Castelli Romani. The area's best farming estates, in cooperation with local restaurants, will provide an opportunity to taste traditional first courses, chopping boards of salami and the characteristic 'frittella', together with local wines.
