Izzy Hall and Greenvale Altered Image - winners of the PC Novice Section I
An Eventful Life filmed all competitors on cross country at
Aston-Le-Walls Unaffiliated (2) - find out more here
Aston-Le-Walls Equestrian Centre at Washbrook Farm near Daventry may be the venue of choice for British Eventing’s World Class Training but last weekend it was the venue of choice for riders looking to enjoy an enjoyable spin around cross country at the Aston-Le-Walls Unaffiliated (2)
Many of these riders may not be looking to ride to giddy heights (and some may have felt they were attempting giddy heights!) or gain gold medals in the sport like the World Class Training members but these events are an enjoyable way to test the waters, do some training or just have fun without the pressure of BE competition.
Nine sections competed on Saturday 6th with four sections of Intro, three Pre-Novice and two Novice sections while on Sunday there were five sections of Pre-Intro, two Intro sections and a Pre-Novice
A few well-known riders took advantage of confidence building tracks with Emily Philp taking an Intro section on Sunday riding Poppy Dazhelden, Lucy Jackson riding several horses across the weekend for a win in the Pre-Novice on Saturday riding Diego and Saffron Cresswell on Fairlight Harper’s Bazaar winning the PC Pre Intro 80cm on Sunday
Saffron was one of our cross country video winners for the weekend (click on the links to watch their full rounds)
