Enjoy some snippets of what is coming up at this year’s Badminton Horse Trials
Course Designer, Eric Winter, and six-time Badminton winner, Lucinda Green have joined forces to expertly guide you around the cross-country phase of the competition on Cross Country App.
With the addition of video, drone footage and photography to the interactive map, everyone can get a real feel for what awaits competitors at this year’s world-famous competition.
The 2022 course features a number of big ditches, including a never-seen-before double of ‘Vicarage Vees’. Lucinda recalled the ‘old-school’ Badminton tracks she aspired to riding as child which Eric has brought into this Badminton and she was absolutely thrilled.
Another big bonus is that during the event, spectators at Badminton Park will be able to use the CrossCountry App to plan where to watch and find their way around the course with the GPS location button. The map will also provide useful venue information such as toilets, first aid and food.
CrossCountry app co-founder Helen Diacono says “We released a special update of CrossCountry App 2 just for Badminton featuring alternative routes. Fans can compare the direct and alternative routes on the map and get an appreciation for the options riders will be weighing up”
The interactive course map can be viewed on the Badminton Horse Trials website
