Eric, who is working with course ‘advisor’ Mike Etherington-Smith this year, has started work in earnest on the famous Badminton cross country course for 2023
Eric has previously told us that work really starts for the following year the day after each year’s cross country, when he walks the course and inspects the ground to see what he can learn from the footfall in the grass
“You can learn more from walking those footprints than you ever do on a pre-course walk” he says in our video interview here
