British Eventing has released its latest update regarding the resumption of eventing with revised competition information for July and August
“We have always said that we do not feel it is appropriate to open entries until government guidance has been released which means that the event itself can go ahead” says BE “Therefore, until the anticipated guidance is received, we will not open entries for any events. Should we receive the DCMS guidance shortly we will aim to open entries the w/c 15th June at the earliest. We will update the website news section, and social media, to advise members when entries are open”
After working closely with all organisers to confirm a new ‘Sport Resumption Fixtures Calendar’, BE has now confirmed what this calendar will look like from 4th July through to 31st August (see below).
Events have been moved in the calendar as well as new events added in order to give members a range of competition opportunities and the BE website will be updated the w/c 15th June to include the agreed fixtures for July and August, their revised dates, entry opening dates, decision to run dates and ballot dates.
BE is in the process of confirming the remaining fixtures for September and October and will publish these shortly. For those planning campaigns for their horses at Novice and above, the calendar remains largely unaltered (other than the cancellations that have previously been advised).
The hope to replace the Blenheim weekend CCI4*-S and CCI 4*-L fixture, and also to insert an additional CCI3*-L at the end of October and organisers have been asked to provide an expression of interest for these classes.
