Phoebe Locke and Union Fortunas, 2019 British Young Rider Champions
Following the final Saracen Horse Feeds Young Rider Trial, hosted from 22-23 June at Farley Hall Horse Trials, the British Eventing Young Rider selectors have announced the six combinations that will head out to the Young Rider European Championships in Maarsbergen, the Netherlands on 10-14 July.
In alphabetical order, the squad is:
Felicity Collins with Vicky Collins and Avrina Milton’s 10 year old gelding RSH Contend Or
Richard Coney with his 11 year old gelding Kananaskis
Heidi Coy with her own nine year old gelding Royal Fury
Phoebe Locke with her 11 year old gelding, Union Fortunus, jointly owned with Kate and Alan Powell
Rosa Onslow with Cindy Onslow’s 13 year old gelding, Diamond Sundance
Bubby Upton with Rachel Upton’s nine year old gelding Cola III

Eros DHI, Rachel Upton’s 10 year old gelding, is direct reserve for Bubby Upton
Russal Z, David Ottewell’s seven year old mare, is direct reserve for Heidi Coy
RLE Limbo Kaiser, Cindy Onslow’s 12 year old gelding, is direct reserve for Rosa Onslow
Non-travelling reserve: Ailsa Wates with Pip Stone and Equine Aqua Training’s 14 year old gelding, Woodland Persuasion
