Maxime Livio in the hunt for FEI Classics title

      Will Maxime Livio be heading to Burghley for the first time?

After finishing fifth at Luhmuhlen CCI4*Maxime Livio has managed to narrow the gap with runaway FEI Classics™ leader Michael Jung (GER) to just six points, and second placed Nicola Wilson has sprung from 11th place in the rankings to third, so a thrilling finish is guaranteed at the finale at Burghley (GBR) in September.

Maxime has challenged Michael’s grip on the FEI Classics™ thanks to his win at Pau 2016, 2nd place at Kentucky and fifth at Luhmuhlen while Michael was 2nd at Pau, won at Kentucky and was 2nd at Badminton

At the end of the season the three athletes with the highest number of points collected among the FEI Classics™ events (Pau, Adelaide, Lexington, Badminton, Luhmühlen, Burghley) are awarded prize money as follows;

1st: US$ 40,000 (Series Champion)

2nd: US$ 30,000

3rd: US$ 20,000

Michael Jung took the booty and title in 2016 - we’re thinking we’ll be seeing Maxime Livio for the first time at Burghley this year!
