It’s always exciting when we get to the pointy end of entry submissions for CCI4*’s and the line up of combinations for the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in 2017 is looking good
Australian defending champion Chris Burton is back with his 2016 winner Nobilis 18 and he will be joined by Shane Rose riding Virgil and Paul Tapner on Bonza King of Rouges, Warren Lamperd on Silvia and Andrew Hoy on The Blue Frontier as Australia’s representatives
There are the usual Kiwis including Tim Price (but no Jonelle), Mark Todd and Andrew Nicholson, the USA has a load of entries thanks to Land Rover grants and of course there are some of the best British riders heading to the iconic event
But there is one entry of particular interest being sponsored by Burghley’s chosen charity this year, World Horse Welfare, who looks to be in with a great chance thanks to some expert help. We’ll be following this one in the lead up to the event and can’t wait to see Pamela fly over the Cottesmore Leap .......
