Our featured video this week is of Emma Buchanan and Blaze, not only winners of a BE100 Section at Floors Castle Horse Trials 2019 but also with the lowest finishing score across the BE100 classes
When we heard that Floors Castle International was back on the calendar in 2022, along with a new title sponsor in the shape of the Malcolm Group, we had to feature Floors Castle in our Cross Country Video of the Week
“We are delighted to be supporting Floors Castle as it is an event which is dear to our hearts and my wife Fiona and I have ridden there for many years” says Andrew Malcolm, CEO, Malcolm Group
“It is a premier event in an amazing location and we hope to see it go from strength to strength"
We certainly agree that it is one of the most beautiful venues in the world (and we’ve been to quite a few!), however there were fears that Floors Castle International Horse Trials would be lost after it was announced that the 2019 event was the final one. But the event, held by kind permission of the Duke of Roxburghe, will be back in 2022, occupying its usual dates from May 13th – 15th and running classes from BE80 to CCI3*-S.
Jamie Innes, who previously organised both Floors Castle and Thirlestone Horse Trials, has worked with the Edward family, who will be the organisers of Floors Castle 2022 and also run the Hopetoun and Forgandenny events under the flag of Kick On Events, to bring the event back
