What do you do in the evening when you’ve won the FEI Nations Cup Eventing in Aachen? Well if you’re two of the winning Australian team, you head to the Lavazza Prize in the main arena to have a go at winning something else!
To be fair, Shane’s only contribution was a bit of dancing and hanging onto Chris Burton’s horse at the point that he had to dismount and hot foot it over to the waiting carriage for the final leg but, even so, we’ll give him some credit as the dancing was pretty good
Shane really wanted to dance to the accompanying music but had problems finding a willing partner .........
The real stars of the very international winning team were the Australian driver, Boyd Exell, Britain’s Guy Williams with Carlson and Cassio Rivetti of the Ukraine with Beau Limit doing the show jumping and eventer Chris Burton riding Cariba
Chris was not the only one celebrating a win in his own sport; Boyd Exell had competed in five competitions at this year’s CHIO and had won each and every one of them, including the fun Lavazza Prize.
Boy, Michi Jung can run when he wants to!
Each of the six teams comprised of two show-jumpers, an eventer and a four-in-hand driver (an explanation of how it works can be found in our article her) with Michael Jung, Ingrid Klimke, Dirk Schrade, Sandra Auffarth and Tim Lips being the five other eventing riders
Libby Law captured some of the fun and games .........
