Kelsall Hill (1) - find out more here
It was a case of finding some shade whilst waiting for your cross country ride on a sunny Good Friday at the Protect My Income Kelsall Hill Horse Trials in Cheshire.
The four classes of BE80(T) took up the morning sessions with Louise Snelson on Ceasurs Delight winning the Section A, Grace Smythe riding Roxlan Jade taking the Section B, Lauren Burgess on Knavesash Divine winning the Section C and Lillie Moores riding Glanhirin Seimon winning the Section D. Louise and Grace also were today’s recipients of An Eventful Life cross country so we’ll be able to watch their winning cross country rides soon
The Easter Bunny made an appearance in the morning although it wasn’t quite as welcome as chocolate bunnies. A rabbit warren at the top of the ski jump where horses were taking off from was discovered and it took a little while to fill the holes and ensure that the take-off spots were secure before the BE80 classes could continue.
It was the turn of the BE90 competitors in the afternoon, with Gemma Colburn winning the BE90 Section E on Free Jump, Isabella Jackson on Talos III winning the Section F and Corinne Metcalfe riding Grace III winning the Section G
Corinne told us about the 17 year old Grace III who has returned to eventing with a vengeance, winning after a few years off
More to come from Gemma and Isabella soon ….
