Ingrid Klimke and Horseware Hale Bob
There was just one change in the top six of the dressage on Friday morning but it was a big one with Germany’s Ingrid Klimke moving into second place on Horseware Hale Bob
They didn’t quite challenge Bettina Hoy’s fantastic score of 24.6 from yesterday but the score of 30.3 moved them into second place, giving Germany three riders in the top four at the lunch break and a good lead.
With temperatures in the low 30’s and no breeze at Strzegom it was a warm one for the horses and riders. Ingrid Klimke stuck to her normal warm up of a few cavalletti and quick flatwork session and looked remarkable cool as she finished her test. But then, as she says, Bobby knows his job
The Team Germany score at the lunch break is 91.2 while second placed France is on 117.20 and third placed Great Britain on 120.6
Tina Cook was the team rider for Britain this morning and she produced a very good test on Billy The Red to score 38.20 to be currently the top British rider. An error in the flying change cost them a few points and, despite Tina saying it isn’t her favourite phase, it was a lovely test
