Second at Badminton in 2015 - can Ingrid and Horseware Hale Bob go one better in 2017?
Michael Jung recently announced his eventing competition plans for the season – now it’s the turn of Ingrid Klimke who has listed the following events for her horses on her website
Horseware Hale Bob OLD is Ingrid’s top choice for the European Championships in Strzegom in August but first they will be heading to the Mitusbishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials in May for the first European CCI4* of the season
SAP Escada FRH will be aimed at CIC events in 2017 with the 13 year old mare, who won the CCI4* at Luhmuhlen in 2015, to compete at CIC3* level at the big German event this year. She also heads back to another winning ground for her in 2016, Aachen for the CICO3* in July and will compete at CIC3* events at Barbury Castle and the Event Rider Masters at Blenheim International in September

Horseware Hale Bob will also compete in the CIC3* at Luhmuhlen in June after competing in the 4* at Badminton.

Weisse Düne
The eight year old Weisse Düne, winner of the 7 Year Old World Championship for Young Horses at Le Lion d'Angers in October 2016 will also be aimed at several major CIC3* runs during the year.
The grey mare will join SAP Escada FRH at Luhmuhlen in June and Barbury Castle in July then contest the 8/9 Year Old Young Horse Championship CIC3* at Blenheim before tackling a CCI3* at Boekelo or Strzegom at the end of the season

Ingrid’s seven year stallion Konigssee 4 who won two of his four 1* starts in 2016 will also be stepping up a level in 2017 and heading to Barbury with his stable mates for the CIC2* amongst other events – one to keep an eye out for moving up the grades
