“This is Christmas, coming to Olympia” says Pippa Funnell who joined in on some ‘Dressage Unwrapped’ fun on the opening night of Olympia, The London International Horse Show
‘Dressage Unwrapped’ took place on Monday under the glass roof of Olympia Grand with three of Britain’s most celebrated dressage riders, Carl Hester, Gareth Hughes and Richard Davison ‘unwrapping’ the secrets of dressage for the Olympia audience.
The ninety-minute session explored all aspects of dressage including; producing, training and managing dressage horses, what it means to compete and how to cope with the pressures of competition with Hester, Hughes and Davison inviting some of their well-known equestrian friends as students to help them demonstrate their points.
These included Performance Manager to Britain’s Senior Eventing Team, Richard Waygood and one of Britain’s best loved eventers, Olympic, World and European Medallist Pippa Funnell, who told us in our interview at Burghley this year that she has to work hard on her dressage
Rupert Bell caught up with Pippa at Olympia to talk about the Masterclass, Pippa’s phenomenal year and plans for 2020
