The Floral Technicians hard at work at Kelsall Hill
There is much more than meets the eye to a cross country fence. First, there is the vision of the course designer, then the skill of the course builder and finally, finishing it all off, the floral technician who dresses the fence just before the competition begins.
The first cross country course that ‘flower lady’ Mary Kennerley dressed was at Kelsall Hill and she is back again this year. Over the years however she has dressed fences at some of the biggest eventing competitions in the world, including the London 2012 Olympics and her team travel the length and breadth of the UK providing their expertise and a huge range of flowers to dress the fences and arenas
