Yasmin Ingham "I do it for the passion"

“I didn’t quite expect it to go as it did” says World Champion Yasmin Ingham in this video interview.

Yasmin is referring to winning the FEI Eventing World Championships at Pratoni 2022, and the FEI film crew were on hand during the 2022 FEI European Championships at Haras Le Pin, where Yasmin was also part of the gold medal winning British team, to find out more about her relationship with her Championship-winning horse Banzai Du Loir.

“He really trusts me and I trust him - that’s what it’s all about really” says Yasmin

The most likely step after competing at a World Championship and the 2023 FEI European Eventing Championships would be competing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which is very much in Yasmin’s sights.

If she were successful in securing selection (and, even though she is World Champion, Team GB has an amazing depth of talent to choose from, as British Eventing High Performance Coach Chris Bartle explained in our interview here) it would be Yasmin’s first Olympic experience.

“It’s been my goal since I was very young” says Yasmin “To win a gold medal at the Olympic Games would be the ultimate dream.”
