The series final of the 2017 FEI Nations Cup Eventing at Boekelo in The Netherlands is set to take place this weekend.
Known as ‘Party Central’ the 2017 Nations Cup Champions will be decided at the end of the competition which runs from 5th – 8th October. With 590 points, Great Britain head into the final leg in the lead of the overall series, however on 580 points there is just a ten point advantage over closest competitors Germany and France is in third place
Britain’s run of good form in the 3* series has seen them taking second place at five of the eight events hosted so far, but it will all come down to the team results at the Dutch event to decide the winners of the 2017 Nations Cup
The British team is;
Laura Collett and Maggie Sargent’s nine year old gelding Cooley Again
Matthew Heath with Hazel Livesey’s 11 year old gelding Cooley Lord Lux
Tom McEwen on Fred and Penny Barker’s 10 year old gelding Strike Smartly
Holly Woodhead and Parkfield Breeding’s British-bred nine year old gelding Parkfield Quintessential
