Hazel Shannon and Willingapark Clifford are heading to Pau
44 riders, 53 horses and 10 countries will contest the CCI5* at Les Etoiles de Pau from 27th – 31st October 2021
Two combinations from Australia head the list with Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Kevin McNab riding Scuderia 1918 A Best Friend and Hazel Shannon making the trip over from Australia thanks to the support of Terry and Ginette Snow at Willinga Park with three-time 5* winner Willingapark Clifford
Five combinations from New Zealand are also competing - Tim Price (Falco), Jonelle Price (McClaren), Caroline Powell (Up, Up and Away), Maddy Crowe (Waitangi Pinterest) and Tayla Mason (Centennial)
The French home side have 10 combinations competing including the 2016 winner Maxime Livio, Cedric Lyard and Sydney Dufresne but it is Britain that has the largest contingent with 27 combinations including Oliver Townend, William Fox-Pitt Tina Cook, Izzy Taylor, Alex Bragg, Tom McEwen, Laura Collett and Bubby Upton heading to France
This will be the last CCI5* of the year, with the Australian International 3 Day Event in Adelaide having cancelled earlier in the season, and we can’t wait to bring you all the action!
