Karin Donckers and Jalapeno lead the CIC2*
Karin Donckers and Jalapeno maintained their lead in the CIC2* at Les Etoiles de Pau, adding 2.8 time penalties to their dressage score so they head into the show jumping phase on a score of 37.2.
This has opened the door for Australia’s Kevin McNab riding Willunga in second place, who completed without penalties and are now less than a rail behind on 40.5. In third place is France’s Aurelie Vinna and Quanji De Petra (42.70)
Australia’s Isabel English didn’t get off to the best start in the dressage on Nikko Brown (below) but they made up for it cross country, jumping a foot perfect round with just 3.6 time penalties
The 2* course caused far less problems with only two riders eliminated while Heloise Le Guern, second after the dressage on Saga Du Manaou ENE H (38.6) withdrew before cross country
