Ingrid Klimke and SAP Hale Bob at the 2019 European Championships in Luhmuhlen
Ingrid Klimke and her daughter Greta Busacker lead two of the classes at Luhmuhlen in Germany, where the German Eventing Championships are taking place
Ingrid and her 2019 European Championship winner, SAP Hale Bob, lead the CCI4*-S with a dressage score of 21.8 (watch their test here) ahead of Michael Jung and fischerChipmunk FRH on a score of 22.3 while the Pau-bound Christoph Wahler riding Carjatan S is currently in third place on 22.4
Ingrid will be busy on cross country tomorrow as she also holds fourth place with SAP Asha P (22.9) and equal sixth on EQUISTROs Siena Just Do It (28.1)
Australia’s Andrew Hoy has made the journey to Luhmuhlen with Vassilly De Lassos, who had a hit out at Keysoe International last week as a warm-up, and currently sits in ninth place on 28.7, the only non-German rider in the top 10

“So very happy with this amazing boy!” says Andrew on social media “A super dressage test in a strong field at CCI4*-S Luhmühlen today to score 28,7 for Paula and David Evans’ Vassily De Lassos ahead of a strong cross country course tomorrow. A big THANK YOU to my amazing support team for making this happen!”
Not only does Ingrid have three horses in the top six of the CCI4*, she also will be busy with her 18-year-old daughter Greta Busacker, who currently leads the CCI2*L, the German Junior Eventing Championship riding Scrabble 15
Michael Jung leads the CCI3*-L on Star Connection FRH with a score of 21.0, a class with few non-German entries but India’s Fouaad Mirza, a silver medallist at the 2018 Asian Games who helped secure India’s berth at Tokyo 2020 and who trains in Germany with Sandra Auffarth, is doing well with Dajara 4. They are in sixth place on a score of 28
