Nicola Wilson has been recognised in the 2025 New Years Honours List, awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
Nicola, whose achievements include being part of the silver medal winning British team at London 2012 and individual European Champion in 2021, was badly injured in a fall in 2022 but has gone on to become a leading coach and mentor to many riders.
“I have to say that when I got the letter, I told my family but said it may be a joke, and they mustn’t say anything until the announcement was made to see if my name was actually there….” Says Nicola on her social media

One of the most popular competitors of her day, Nicola produced many horses to top level including her European Championship horse JL Dublin, who went on to win Olympic team gold at Paris 2024 with Tom McEwen in the saddle.
