The Ground Jury and other FEI officials for the FEI Senior European Eventing Championships to be held in Strzegom from 24th-27th August 2017 have been announced
Germany’s Ernst Topp will be the Ground Jury President with the two other members being Britain’s Sue Baxter and Poland’s Slavomir Pietrzak
All three have Championship experience with Ernst Topp being a Ground Jury Member for the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, Sue Baxter the President of the Ground Jury at the 2015 FEI European Championships at Blair Castle in Scotland and Slavomir Pietrzak having been one of the Ground Jury members for the FEI European Eventing Championships for Young Riders at Strzegom in 2015
Ireland’s Gillian Kyle will be the Foreign Technical Delegate and Belgium’s Anthony McPherson will be the Appeal Committee President with the Appeal Committee Members and Assistant Technical Delegate yet to be announced by the Organising Committee.
Britain’s Robert Van Pelt will be the Foreign Veterinary Delegate and Poland’s Zbigniew Seibt the Chief Steward
The name of the cross country course designer, Germany’s Rüdiger Schwarz, has been known for some time and plenty of work has already been done with the line of the course established and the concepts of the fences already complete.
Rüdiger designed the 2013 European Championship course at Malmo in Sweden and is well known for his courses at Aachen with their thrilling finishing format. The dynamic event organiser of the usual Strzegom Horse Trials, Marcin Konarski will be the Assistant Course Designer on this occasion but the Jumping Course Designer is yet to be appointed by the Organising Committee
