An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at
Bishop Burton International Youth Championships 2022
It’s all about the up and coming talent at the moment with last week’s FEI European Eventing Championships for Juniors and Young Riders at Hartpury and this week Bishop Burton College is welcoming hundreds of talented young riders as it hosts the British Eventing International Youth Championships
The best youth athletes from across the UK will compete at at BE90, BE100 and CCI-L YR2* level.
The riders, all of which are under 18, have been selected as the best in their region to compete from Thursday 4th August to Sunday 7th August.
Catherine Sykes, Equine Event Coordinator at Bishop Burton College, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the International Youth Championships for the second year, especially as this year we can welcome spectators without COVID-19 restrictions.
“Our course designer, Joe Weller, has done a spectacular job at transforming our parkland ready for the event. The cross country competition on Saturday 6th August is sure to be a highlight.
The College has significantly invested in the facilities available to its equine disciplines, most recently out on the cross country course where Course Designer Joe Weller makes the best use of the magnificent undulating parkland ensuring an exhilarating, enjoyable and exciting cross country day for the Championships.
An exciting opening ceremony, exclusively for riders and their family, will kick start the competition on Wednesday 3rd August following the First Horse Inspection
Dressage takes place on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th August, cross country on Saturday 6th and show jumping followed by presentations on Sunday 7th
