Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside! Especially when it’s at Brightling Park Horse Trials (1st & 2nd July) where over 200 acres of parkland on the Brightling Park Estate offer some of the best views in Sussex, across to the South Downs and the English Channel
The iconic “Temple” folly in the centre of the estate features on the cross country courses designed by Stuart Buntine for BE for this weekend’s BE, BE 90 and Novice classes. The courses flow over the undulating parkland on old turf with Stuart saying that “It is basically an old-fashioned event with permanent obstacles and a minimum of portables. Every effort as always will be made to provide good and safe ground conditions”
BEDE Events is running Brightling Park this year’s competitors are also in with a chance to scoop some points in the Agria Equine Insurance BE100 League or Arena Saddles Novice league (details on the BEDE website). Both leagues help riders secure their MERs for the big finale at Osberton International for the CCI1* and CCI2*L.
