Update
Friday at Cirencester Park (1) has been cancelled but Musketeer Events is hopeful that the following two days of competition will be held. Follow Musketeer's Facebook page for daily updates on ground and weather conditions
With an extra day added to the original two days of Musketeer Event’s first event of the year at Cirencester Park, the Friday Open Intermediate entries are dominated by the World Number One and Two, New Zealand’s Tim and Jonelle Price
This would have been a local event prior to their move to Chedington but Tim and Jonelle are making their trip worthwhile with Jonelle riding five and Tim riding three, including his Badminton entered Vitali and Coup De Coeur Dudevin
They are joined by their NZ World Champs team member Clarke Johnstone, back in the UK and based at Aston Farm, who has Leopards Action, Aces High and Menlo Park and Hollie Swain is also giving her Badminton entry, Solo, a run, so it’s quite a Kiwi line up in Friday’s OI
Saturday sees Intermediate and Novice classes and another Open Intermediate and Advanced Intermediate will run on Sunday but, if you get a few minutes away from watching the horses, then there is a very special new arrival at Cirencester Park you should see
Still Water (2019), a 6ft hand-beaten copper sculpture by renowned British artist Nic Fiddian-Green has just arrived at the Park on loan from Sladmore Gallery
This special sculpture of a horse’s head sits on the brow of Broad Avenue and comes into view as you walk up from Cecily Hill. Its elegant form replicates the original 33ft bronze version located at Hyde Park Corner in London, that many will know. Take a walk and take a look at the Cirencester Park version!
There has been some rain at Cirencester Park on Wednesday and more expected on Thursday but 'everything is fine at the moment and ready to go" say Musketeer Events, who are providing regular updates regarding the ground and weather on their Facebook page . Keep an eye on it for more information
