Tom McEwen and Brookfield Cavalier Cruise, 2022 winners of the CCI3*-L at Blair Castle
With the first CCI4* of the 2023 British Eventing season behind us, there is plenty more top class action to look forward to
One of our favourite events is the FEI Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials, which will take place against the beautiful backdrop at Blair Castle in Scotland from 24th -27th August.
The event offers four days of both world class and grassroots sporting action, fabulous shopping and entertainment for all the family to enjoy, set against a backdrop of the picture postcard 13th century Blair Castle, home of the Atholl family for over seven centuries.
In addition to the five International event classes (CCI4*-L, CCI-4*-S, CCI3*-L, CCI2*-L and CCI1*-Intro) and the Scottish Grassroots Championship, there are 'open' event classes at BE90 and BE100, plus British Showjumping and showing classes.
The 2023 Box Office is now open with multiple ticket options available, ranging from £35 up to £165 for a Season Membership
Membership tickets include a forward car parking pass and access to the ringside Members' Marquee with its bar, restaurant, ringside garden and members toilet facilities.
Weekend memberships cover Saturday and Sunday, and Season Membership all four days of the event. Thursday and Friday memberships are also available. Early booking, through the Blair Box Office, is advised as these tickets sell out fast.
Alternatively, there are General Admission tickets, many of which offer discounts when bought in advance. Prices start at just £18 a day with parking an additional £7. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanying a paying adult, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Camping is always a popular option, with various sizes of pitch available to book – full details of all ticket options are also on the Blair Horse Trials website
We’ll see you there!
