An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at
Keysoe (2) - find out more here
After a successful Keysoe (1) in May, we are heading back to Bedfordshire for Keysoe (2) Horse Trials this weekend
The big improvements on cross country, especially the drainage, that Simon Bates told us about earlier in the year at the College Equestrian Centre could come in handy after such a wet period and the team at Keysoe will ‘put as much effort as is necessary to give good ground conditions on the courses, arenas and working in areas’
Four of the dressage arenas will be on artificial surfaces and the show jumping takes place on the Martin Collins Pro-track waxed surface arena, using Keysoe’s British show jumping championship set of fences and warm-up is also on an artificial surface
The cross country provides a mix of fixed and portable fences including the waters, banks, steps and ditches and the strong questions will have an alternative; for those who competed at Keysoe (1), there will be very significant changes to the tracks used in May, so the two events will feel very different
And next year Keysoe (2) will have an even different feel as it will have International classes but this year the classes include BE80(T), N, BE90, ON, BE100Open, BE100 and BE90Open during the two days
We’ll be filming all competitors and bringing you a full report plus winners’ videos next week. See you there and smile at the camera!
