An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at Cirencester Park Unaffiliated Horse Trials including The Cotswold Cup Final – order or view videos here
Since its launch in 2021, The Cotswold Cup has become THE Unaffiliated eventing series to win, especially as the Series culminates with a £10,000 prize pot on offer at the Championship Final each year.
We’ll discover who are the 2023 Champions of their respective levels after this weekend’s Cotswold Cup Final during the Cirencester Park Unaffiliated Horse Trials. Hosted by Musketeer Events and The Cotswold Cup team, the Championships will run one day, two day and three day events with classes at 70cm, 80cm, 90cm and 100cm. The 80, 90 and 100cm Championships will run alongside Open classes at the same level.
The Final offers a unique experience for unaffiliated riders with the Two and Three Day Event formats incorporating Roads & Tracks and Steeplechase phases. No doubt everyone has been brushing up on their skills in these areas, but Musketeer Events has also pulled in some big names who remember the ‘real’ days of eventing, including Tim Price who says he really misses the old format!
There’s a little taster below ut you can get some great advice from Harry Meade, Oliver Townend, Mark Lucey, Leslie Law, Andrew Hoy, Tina Cook and Tim in more videos here
We’ve also got some tips for you in our training article “Preparing for a Three-Day Event” here
Good luck to everyone competing! We’ll be filming all competitors on cross country, keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram stories for video snippets over the weekend and we’ll be back with a full wrap up next week!
