Event Rider Masters heads to Arville

The Event Rider Masters next heads to Belgium for Leg 3 of the 2019 series at Concours Complet D’Arville on 22nd June, where the action will take place amidst the rolling hills and expansive woodlands of the family estate of Guillaume de Liedekerke. Which horses and riders will take on the challenge of Rüdiger Schwarz's cross country course?

The reigning Dutch National Champion Tim Lips will be the first competitor to head down the centreline. He rides his Chatsworth ERM partner Eclips and will be followed into the arena by Great Britain's Franky Reid-Warrilow, riding My Squire de Reve. Then, we'll welcome the first of two riders for Germany - Niklas Bschorer and Lord Shostakovich lead the charge, while two horses later, the enormously experienced Dirk Schrade brings forward Bettina Hoy's superstar Designer 10.

      Laura Collett leads the rankings

Laura Collett is the joint leader of the season standings, and in the absence of fellow leader Michael Jung, she'll be hoping to add more valuable points to her tally this week. She rides the exceptional Dacapo, fresh off a podium finish at Bramham, and will be the first rider in the ring after the break. But despite her enviable dressage scores, she'll face plenty of pressure from the next combination in the arena - Bramham winners, Olympians, and former leg winners Gemma Tattersall and Quicklook V never let a mark go to waste.

Then, 2017's Wiesbaden winners Sarah 'Cutty' Cohen and Treason will put their extensive ERM experience to good use, while husband and wife duo Tim and Jonelle Price each bring forward five-star winners to challenge the rest of the field. We'll see Tim ride his 2014 Luhmühlen winner Wesko, while Jonelle rides Faerie Dianimo, with whom she won the same event last year. Sandwiched between them, 2018 series winner - and reigning Arville champion - Chris Burton will be working hard to retain his titles, riding Quality Purdey. Can he keep his seat on the ERM throne?

Perennial favourites Bill Levett and Shannondale Titan, who finished third last year at Arville, will also return in search of another podium placing for Australia.

Blenheim 2017 winner Izzy Taylor comes forward with Fonbherna Lancer for the horse's CCI4*-S debut and Team GB's quest for the Arville podium is further strengthened by Wiesbaden 2017 winners Sarah "Cutty" Cohen and Treason; Jardy 2018 victor Alex Bragg with Alcatraz; and Nicola Wilson and Bulana, who won individual bronze at the 2017 European Championships. Tom Jackson also brings forward an exciting entry in Capels Hollow Drift, who finished second in the 7-year-old World Championships at Le Lion d'Angers last year.
