Louise Harwood riding Native Spirit claimed the Open Intermediate class in beautiful autumnal sunshine on Saturday at Oasby (2)
Louisa and the 13-year-old Irish bred Native Spirit enjoyed their first win together at Oasby (2) but they have produced some good results this year, with fourth in the CCI4*-L at Blair Castle and fifth in the Advanced at Chatsworth, setting them up nicely for next season
They finished on their dressage score of 30.1, ahead of Georgie Campbell riding Global Candy Boy (34) and Rafael Losano on Master Quality Imp (37.1).
Australia’s Sammi Birch had a top 10 finish with Jutopia, taking ninth place while New Zealand’s Jonelle Price and Grappa Nera strolled around the course as a prep run for Pau CCI5* for 11th place
Daisy Bathe and Mexican Wave
The Open Intermediate U21 was won by Daisy Bathe riding Mexican Wave thanks to their second fastest time on cross country. No-one made the time but Daisy’s 3.6 time penalties added to their leading dressage score gave them the win on a score of 31.8
Tom Bird riding Rebel Rhyme scooted around the cross country with just 1.8 time penalties for fourth place but Holly Clarke riding Nico and Georgia Bartlett riding Fein Cera Gravelotte took second (35.7) and third (40.5) places
Nina De Haas and JVK Mr Maguire
The Intermediate Section A was won by UK-based Dutch rider Nina Da Haas riding JVK Mr Maguire, winners of the Novice at Kelsall Hill International earlier this year while Emily King won the Intermediate Section B on board Jackpot
Australia’s Bill Levett was just outside the top 10 of the Section A riding The Bossman II into 11th place and took eighth place in the Section B on Shannondale Archie, who now heads to Le Mondial Du Lion
