Izzy Taylor receives her trophy from Angus Keate, CEO of Lycetts while the Grantham Cup goes to KBIS, the owners of KBIS Starburst

Izzy Taylor had a busy but successful weekend with eight rides at the Belton International including three horses in the Lycett’s Grantham Cup CIC3*. Several of her horses picked up ribbons but it was KBIS Starburst who was the star of the stable, winning the CIC3* while Frog Rock took fifth place in the same class. KBIS Starburst started well in the dressage on a score of 43 and moved up the leader board when the overnight leader Laura Collett and Grand Manoeuvre picked up four show jumping faults in the morning; Izzy and KBIS Starburst then sealed the deal with another double clear in the cross country in the afternoon
Piggy French on Quarrycrest Echo held the lead for much of the final phase but one time penalty in the show jumping and 0.4 time penalties on cross country cost them the win in a very tight finish to the day. Izzy finished on her dressage score, as did Sir Mark Todd in second place on Leonidas II after having one time penalty incurred in the show jumping removed; almost the last rider of the day, he rode a fast and accurate round to finish on 43.4 while Piggy finished third on 43.7
