In her first year out of Young Riders, Lizzie Baugh is faring well in Senior competition. Lizzie and her 11 year old Irish Sport Horse Quarry Man, who have represented Britain at the European Young Rider Championships twice in 2017 and 2018, have started 2019 on a roll with a win in the Advanced Section P at Belton International and then followed it up with a win in the CCI3*-S at the Barefoot Retreats Burnham Market International

Lizzie finished at Burnham on her dressage score of 28.3, ahead of some very strong competition in the shape of Tom McEwen on Dreamaway in second place and Gemma Tattersall on Arctic Soul in third. Lizzie, who is based in Nottinghamshire and combines her eventing career with studying for a Masters degree in Equine Performance at Nottingham Trent University, will now take Quarry Man to a more local event at Chatsworth to start in the CCI4*, their second start at this level after competing in the CICO3* in Millstreet last year

In addition to her win on Quarry Man, the home bred B Exclusive also replicated his performance at Belton with a second place in the Intermediate Section K at Burnham Market on Saturday, giving Lizzie a very good second horse in the stable
