An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at
Osberton International & Young Horse Championships 2022
A series of forward thinking business conferences and educational platforms are included in a packed schedule at this year’s Osberton International Horse Trials organised by the team at BEDE Events.
Running from September 28 to October 2 at the picturesque Osberton Estate, as well as top class eventing and carriage driving, three innovative conferences and networking opportunities will also be held throughout the event.
This exciting concept follows the success of last year’s seminars run under the Bedeveloped brand and are open to all those wanting to attend.
The conferences and seminars are supported by MSD Animal Health, Baileys Horse Feeds, uvex and Badminton Horse Trials.
First Aid Course - Wednesday 28th September 2022
- Full day first aid course run by specialists in first aid for horse riders, Medi-K
- Taking place in the dedicated event training space
- Course includes a full day of training plus refreshments, lunch and free entry to the horse trials on the day of the course, plus one additional day (either the Thursday or Friday)
BEVA Event Incident Management Conference - Thursday 29th September 2022
BEDE welcome British Equine Veterinary Association for an Incident Management conference which will help veterinary delegates fine tune their performance - both vets under pressure and the sports horse; looking at specific emergencies, how to work at courses better and essentially - tips for making decisions under pressure with delegates learning how to remain calm and triage the acutely lame horse and transport it off course in the optimum way.
Cross Country Course Construction and Design - Thursday 29th and Friday 30th September 2022
Two full days packed with practical training, instruction, demonstrations and discussion from world renowned industry leaders and experts.
- Taking place in the dedicated event training space and out on the course
- Course leaders include: leading cross-country course designer - Eric Winter, well-known cross-country course builder - James Willis, British Eventing Teams High Performance Coach, Chris Bartle, Swedish inventor of the frangible MIM cross country device Mats Bjornetum, CEO of British Eventing Helen West, and co-founder of the British Animal Rescue and Trauma Association (BARTA) - Jim Green
- Day one is course building including the latest MIM innovations, serious incident management including moving, rolling and sledging the trapped horse
- Day two: Designing to create a parthway and educational route for horses and riders. Input from trainers and riders including course walking and discussion
- Course booking includes all refreshments, lunch and full access to the event on all four days
- Option to attend one day or both.
Coaches Conference - Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd October
Two full days of practical training for coaches looking at the whole system approach to training the event rider, including effective course walking, warm up, training at home, course riding.
- Taking place in the dedicated event training space and out on the show jumping and cross-country courses
- Course leaders to include leading cross-country course designer - Eric Winter, British Eventing Teams High Performance Coach - Chris Bartle, and UKCC level 3 coach and one of British Show Jumping’s most experienced coaches Matt Lanni
- Day one: cross country, working to ensure riders are prepared for today’s challenges
- Day two: show jumping, training, warm up and competing. How to prepare riders and horses
- Course price includes all refreshments, lunch and access to the event for all four days
- Option to attend one day or both
