Piggy March is on the way to defending her CCI4*-S at the NAF Five Star Hartpury International, not only leading the class after Thursday’s dressage but also in third place.
Piggy March leads the way in CCI4*-S
Piggy holds the lead on board Brookfield Cavalier Cruise with a score of 28.1 while Coolparks Sarco is in third place (28.9), the pair being split by Bubby Upton and Cola III on 28.3.
It is very tight across the top 10 with just 4.2 penalties separating them but New Zealand’s Jesse Campbell is another with a good mark from Thursday, scoring 29 on Gambesie for fourth and Team Campbell is keeping it in the family with Jesse’s wife Georgie currently in sixth place (31) riding Darcy De La Rose.
Dressage continues today with Piggy bringing forward two more in Brookfield Inocent and Halo and Pippa Funnell, Alex Hua Tian and Harry Meade among the ones to watch.
Australia’s Bec Braitling has also nipped over to England as part of her ‘grand tour’ and is currently in 37th place on board Caravaggio and Bill Levett is in 12th and 14th places on board Sligo Candy Cane and Huberthus AC.
Millie Juleff heads up the CCI3*-S
Bill Levett is a little further up the leaderboard in the CCI3*-L with Brideview Master George in fourth place (30.6) but it is young British rider Millie Juleff riding Viktor Krum that leads the class on a score of 26.4.
Brazil’s Marcio Carvarlho Jorge leads the CCI2*-L on board Linkin Park K (28.5) and Jesse Campbell also has a top spot in this class, very close behind on a score of 28.6 riding Gracie De La Rose
Dressage continues on Friday with cross country and show jumping on Saturday for the CCI4*-S while the long-format 2* and 3* classes wrap up on Sunday.
